Voyage of the Zeemanshoop

July 2011

New information about the passengers and crew of the lifeboat Zeemanshoop, on which Otto Neurath and Marie Reidemeister escaped from The Hague to England in May 1940, has been added to the website profiling the book A hard fought ship: the story of HMS Venomous by R.J. Moore and J.A. Rodgaard. HMS Venomous was the British destroyer that picked up the passengers of the Zeemanshoop off the Dutch coast and landed them at Dover. You can read about the voyage of the Zeemanshoop here, and details of its passengers and crew here.
